Career History:
Mr. Kjol joined Telenor Group
in 1995, beginning his career in the domesƟc
mobile operaƟon in Norway. Since then, he
has contributed to Telenor Group’s growing
internaƟonal presence through his strategic
involvement in Telenor’s internaƟonal mobile
business where he played signiĮcant roles in
operaƟonal development, and merger and
acquisiƟon acƟviƟes both in Europe and Asia.
For the last 15 years, he has been based in Asia
where he conƟnues to assume a key role in the
development of Telenor’s Group strategy for Asia,
and managing the Asia business environment
including in the areas of public aīairs,
government relaƟons, strategic communicaƟons
and corporate responsibility.

Mr. Sorby joined Telenor in
1993 where he has held a number of senior
posiƟons. He was appointed ExecuƟve Vice
President and member of the Group ExecuƟve
Management team in 2003. Mr. Sorby has in his
capacity as ExecuƟve Vice President served as
Head of Norwegian Market from 2003 to 2005,
Head of Nordic OperaƟons from 2005 to 2009,
ExecuƟve Vice President and Head of Corporate
Development from 2009 to 2011, and Head of
Strategy and Regulatory Aīairs from 2011 to
2013. He was Chief ExecuƟve Oĸcer of Uninor,
India in 2014. He previously worked at Arthur
Andersen & Co in Oslo, Norway.
