Mr Haakon Bruaset Kjoel ("Mr Kjoel") currently part-time studies Executive Master of Business Administration at BI Norwegian Business School, Oslo, Norway. He is a former student of BI Norwegian Business School studied in economics, management, marketing and public relations and communication from 1991 to 1994.

Mr Kjoel joined Telenor Group in 1995, beginning his career in the domestic mobile operation in Norway. Since then, he has contributed to Telenor Group's growing international presence through his strategic involvement in Telenor's international mobile business where he played significant roles in operational development, and merger and acquisition activities both in Europe and Asia. For the last 17 years, he has been based in Asia where he continues to assume a key role in the development of Telenor Group's strategy for Asia, and managing the Asia business environment including in the areas of public affairs, government relations, strategic communications and corporate responsibility. He is currently the Senior Vice President and Head of Group Public and Regulatory Affairs of Telenor Group and Directors of Telenor (IHQ) Limited, Thailand, Telenor Pakistan Limited, Pakistan, Telenor Myanmar Limited, Myanmar, Telenor GO Private Limited, Singapore, Total Access Communications Public Company Limited (DTAC), Thailand, Telenor South Asia Invest Private Limited, Singapore, Telenor South East Asia Invest Private Limited, Singapore, Grameenphone Limited, Bangladesh and Telenor Asia Private Limited, Singapore.
